Gift Bag, Check Book Cover and Card/Recipe Box
I have been working on this project for quite some time and finally have it finished and ready to share. I hope you like the designs. The lid to the box looks funky but looks flat in real life.
Monday, October 5, 2009
This card looks very elegant in real life.
It is an off white card stock and dark green card stock inside.
I used my Cuttlebug and embossed the front using the Sizzix Snowflake Embossing Folder.
I placed flat backed pearls on the snowflakes. The punch is from EK.
I bought the embossing folder from:
The snowflake punch I got at Michael's
I purchased the pearls from http://www.stampingscrapping.com/item_2027/KK-Self-Adhesive-Pearls-PEARL-50-Pack.htm

IRIS FOLDING BASSET HOUND
Shirley Clark from Shirley Clark Designs made the Iris folding template for me years ago.
I finally figured out how to cut it using my Cricut Create
I folded shiny black paper for my basset and matted the finished product on black paper and then used a large black frame with cream to frame it.
My husband loved it when I gave it to him for his birthday.
Birthday or Christmas Gift - Monogram Note Cards
These should have been mailed two weeks ago. I am horrible about mailing things.
The monogram is a JustRite Stamp from:
http://www.stampingscrapping.com/item_373/JustRite-Monogram-Stamper-1-58-DAMASK-1-LETTER-BORDERS.htm
The Nestabilitie is from:
I make all kinds of cards and then leave them sitting on my work table instead of mailing them.
This card doesn't have to be in Denver until October but the next card was due there September 22 and here it sits!
I don't remember who made these flocked paper but I know my soon to be 13 years old granddaugher will like it!
The Happy Birthday is a Cuttlebug embossing folder and the oval is a Nestabilities
Wedding Or Birthday Card
I love the colors teal and cream together.
The picture does not do this card justice.
I used a Cuttlebug Embossing folder from:
The ribbon was purchased from Archiver's
The Spellbinder Nestabilites are from:
http://www.stampingscrapping.com/item_126/Spellbinders-Nestabilities-CLASSIC-OVAL-Sm-5-dies.htm
http://www.stampingscrapping.com/ has the lowest prices I have seen on Nestabilies.
These refrigerator Magnets are so easy to make.
I just cut my cardstock the size I want it
Add the calendar and any embellishments
adhere the magnet strips to the back (I usually use 3)
I found the embellishments at Archiver's
The calendar I purchased at a local paper store
called Hollo's in Brunswick, Ohio
The Cuttlebug embossing folder is from
This folder was also used on the below Refrigerator Magnet.

CAUTION when changing the template on your blog!!!!!!!!
What a mess I have had. I decided I needed a three column blog so I found a site, picked a template and completly lost my blog ): Luckily, I had backed up my info and didn't lose any posts. I felt lost for about 2 weeks and then, yesterday, I finally figured out where it was hiding. SO the bottom line is, I am back and ready to update my blog with more WHERE TO FIND FREE SVG FILES and some of my NEW CARDS.

Cotton Scraps Card - Fabric
I love making cards using the Cotton Scraps for Crafty Secrets. You can just adhere using your tape runner and you have a lovely card. I matted the Cotton Scrap on an embossed mat using the Swiss Dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug - added some ribbon and the card was finished!
You can purchase the Cotton Scraps on Sharon Johnson's blog at: http://notimetostamp.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/ribbon-for-sale/

Also used is the top half of a Journal Notes from Crafty Secret.

CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS - ideas start NOW!
I have been trying to think what gifts I am making this year and think we need to start brain storming ideas.
If you would like to post a comment and include your site so we can see your creations, please do so and I will compile a list to share.
I know the tin has been around a while but I still love the versatility of them.
The Monogram card set was "cased" from Sharon Johnson's NO TIME TO STAMP blog. The circles were made using my circle Nestabilities and the stamp and border is from JustRite Stampers.
I am looking forward to seeing your ideas!!!

I haven't posted much the past couple of weeks as I received my Cricut Create and have been playing with it and setting up the blog for some tutorials and info. Much more to come.

Copic Markers Class
I took a three hour copic marker class today at Toyrific in Wooster. It was awesome!!!! Sally Lynn MacDonald taught the class and I want to learn more, more, more.
Can you imagine taking a class on colored markers?? If you are a crafter, I highly recomment it.
Have a safe weekend.

Get Well Card
Gisha Girl
This card was fun but very intricate to make. I stamped the card and used my new copic markers to color. After doing it TWICE, I noticed the black by her ear bled into the flesh color. I used mulberry paper for the mats. Other than the bleeding, I am very pleased on how it turned out.
A big thank you to my friends Shelley and Lori for all their input on this card!

Cuttlebug and Vellum Cards
I love the ease of the cuttlebug and the cuttlebug embossing folders when you need a card or in this case 6 cards in a hurry! I just cut my card stock, my vellum, used my Martha punch on the side (hard to see), embossed, added the pearls, sprayed on the adhesive and in a very short time these lovelies were finished. I have known I had to make these cards for 2 months and they are due today.
I am going to Scrapbookers Paradise for a three day crop. We have such fun there and the food is awesome. I am so disappointed that none of my friends are going though! Sometimes life just gets in the way!
Have a blessed weekend!

WALLPAPER CARD
I went to Sherwin Williams and they were throwing out a ton of wallpaper books. What kind of a crafter would I be if I didn't take advantage of all that free paper???
This card has a background of wallpaper and the flowers are stamped using the baby wipes ink pad technique. You can find out how to do this by going to Stamp TV and looking at both the background baby wipe technique and the baby wipe ink pad techniques. (link is on the right hand side)

My Way of Storing my Nesties!
I have a zippered CD case that I store my Nesties in.
I cut the top off where the Nestie is taped and put magnetic tape in place of the tape (plus more magnetic tape so they hold securely) and then just put them in the pockets of the CD case.
It is easy to grab if I go to a crop and out of the way if I stay at home.

Road Trip
My friend Barb W. and I went to Toyrifix in Wooster, Ohio yesterday for a copic demonstration. What a nice scrapbook and rubber stamp store! She seems to carry many, many of the new products on the market.
Of course, we had to have a bite of lunch at the Barn which is behind Toyrifix. I do wish we had eaten at the Smithville Inn instead - maybe next trip!
Next month, we are planning a trip to Zoar, Ohio to go to the Stamp and Scrapbook stores.

Lady Bug Card
I cased Sharon Johnson's lady bug card. (http://notimetostamp.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/) I used a clear and black transparency. Martha Stewart Border Punch and the clear stamp is Mindscapes from Inkadinkado. Also used is the Nestabilities Label 1. I bought this awesome stamp set from Joan's Gardens (http://www.atjoansgardens.com/). She only charged $2.09 for shipping!!
Please check out both Sharon Johnson's and Joan's Garden blog to see their lovely cards.

I was asked to make some sample cards for MOXXIE. If you have not seen their line, you need to check it out. They have the most beautiful papers, I chose the baby papers to make my samples.
This collection is double sided with lovely soft pinks, blues, purples and yellows. They have wonderful stickers - rubons that go on like butter featuring twins, adoption, baby shower and many other rubons and stickers.
I know in the Akron/Cleveland area A Scrapbookers Paradise and the Lodi Outlet store, Crazy for Scrapbooking carry some of the MOXXIE lines.
